An old one

Found this picture I took of The Moon and Saturn (through my telescope) back in June. As much as I love the skies above in the winter, summer also has its advantages..

Good news.

Winter is finally here, and that means clearer nights, Which is good for us astronomers. Last night I was out viewing the moon (which was very bright) through my telescope and got some pretty awesome pictures. My favourite being this one..

After observing the moon, i decided to try find the Andromeda Galaxy. At first I couldn’t, but after 10-15 minutes I spotted the spiral galaxy. Trying to take a photo using a phone through the 20mm eyepiece was a bit difficult and the best picture I could get was a blurry one, but still.. It’s poof I found it.

After a good look at Andromeda I turned my focus on to Jupiter, but unfortunately the clouds did start to form and block my view of the planet so couldn’t get any more pictures but still got a good view of one of its moons, Io.
Hopefully I’ll have more luck tonight.
